Since its founding in 1931, the Nashville Children’s Theatre has been a staple of Nashville fine arts and education.  In addition to performing and entertaining throughout each year, they host and run programs to nurture and educate their target audience: children and young adults throughout Middle Tennessee! On April 29th, Music City’s own minor league baseball team the Nashville Sounds will face the New Orleans Baby Cakes in their 12th home game of the season, and High Hopes will be the Charity of the Game! During last year’s 2017 season, the Charity of the Game promotion hosted 30 local nonprofits at various home games, and now High Hopes will take its turn.  The game begins at 1:05 PM on a Sunday afternoon, and it promises to be a fun and entertaining afternoon for all! Sporting the largest community-built playground in the United States, the Crofts’ Historic Home available for seasonal tours, and several dynamic and interactive exhibits with a diverse population of animals, the Zoo continues to up the ante of its offerings.  Newer exhibits such as spider monkeys, the interactive Kangaroo Kickabout, and cassowary enclosures continue to be popular among Zoo-goers of all ages. Most recently, on March 15th, the Zoo cut the ribbon on a large addition featuring Andean bears. In the month of April, the Zoo will be offering several unique opportunities for family springtime fun, and that’s what we will highlight in this post.  Consider making plans to attend one or more of these awesome community events at the Nashville Zoo!
