Is your child easily frustrated when presented with coloring or writing tasks? Do you notice that opening containers or maintaining a grasp on feeding utensils appear difficult for your child? Does your child have difficulty activating or playing with age appropriate toys?
If you answered yes to any of these questions, Ready Writers to the rescue!

Ready Writers is a class designed for children ages 3-5 years old who are having difficulty with fine motor tasks. These struggles may not only be affecting their pre-writing skills, but also their ability to complete daily self-care activities. Ready Writers will help your child develop and refine their grasping pattern, pre-writing, and pre-cutting skills while also learning how to form shapes and letters along the way. Guided by a pediatric licensed Occupational Therapist, fine motor activities will be presented using a fun, sensory-filled approach. Each class will consist of an introductory music and movement warm up followed by seated table top activities with structured sensory breaks incorporated throughout.
The class will target developmental skills including:
-
fine motor
-
visual motor
-
self-care tasks
-
bilateral hand coordination
-

-
social skills
-
visual and auditory attention
-
