Coco Pannell Smith currently manages YouTube's relationships with political publishers and creators, working to grow their channels and the politically-engaged user base on the platform. She's worn many hats in her 15 years at Google. Before her current role, she managed Google's engagements with the U.S. Executive Branch, working on initiatives around small business, workforce development, education, and opioid crisis, while also shaping Google’s policy agenda around copyright, connectivity, and digital trade. During the 2016 election, Coco was Google’s Elections Program Manager, sculpting Google’s advertising business in the DC market.

She graduated from Yale University in 2011 as a Yale Journalism Scholar with a B.A. in political science and an interdisciplinary concentration in media studies. She’s originally from the small-but-mighty town of Milan, Tennessee, and now lives in Brentwood with her husband Brandon and new baby Mary Louise.
