Emily Sandwith
Early Childhood Educator
With over a decade of experience in the classroom, Emily is a passionate and dedicated educator who brings both expertise and heart to her work with students. She has taught a wide range of grade levels, consistently creating engaging, student-centered learning environments that promote curiosity, critical thinking, and meaningful
connections—particularly in the field of social
studies.
Throughout her career in Nashville, Emily
has served in key leadership roles, including as the head of the Social Studies Department and as a team lead for her age level. In these positions, she has mentored colleagues, coordinated curriculum development, and helped foster a collaborative culture within her school community. Early in her
career, she interned with High Hopes, where she
worked in marketing. That experience gave her a
deep appreciation for inclusive education and the many ways an inclusive preschool setting benefits children of all abilities and their families.
Emily holds a Bachelor of Science from Centre College and a Master of Education in Instructional Practice, with a Special Education certification, from Lipscomb University. In addition to her professional contributions, Emily is also a proud Oak Hill School
parent to twin daughters.
