Counting with Kids Founder
Neily Boyd has worked in education for the past 15 years. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, she was selected to be a member of Nashville’s first Teach For America class. During her two years with Teach For America, she taught secondary math at Nashville’s Stratford High School, while also obtaining her M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Lipscomb University. In 2017 she became the Director of Math at KIPP Nashville, one of Nashville’s leading charter school systems. In that role, she oversaw the strategic planning process to determine how math would be taught at KIPP Nashville's six elementary and middle schools. As a result, the schools showed some of the highest math growth in Tennessee, according to both state and national assessments.
After more than a decade of working in K-12 education, Neily became passionate about the role that early childhood education plays in setting children up for later success in school. In 2020, she founded Counting With Kids, which provides math resources to thousands of parents across the world as well as consulting services to schools and curriculum companies across the country. A mother of two, she and her husband live in Franklin.
