Discover our Pre-K Classroom
4 - 5 year olds
Pre-kindergarten (Pre-K) students exhibit a range of characteristics that reflect their readiness for formal schooling. Our teachers foster learning in the Pre-K classroom by creating a nurturing, stimulating, and inclusive environment that supports children’s development across all domains.
What We Do
At four and five years old, children are curious and eager to learn about what is happening around them. They think literally and learn through experiences. Our teachers foster this development through our comprehensive curriculum that is thoughtfully designed to prepare children for kindergarten while fostering a love for learning.
Key components include:
-
Literacy: Phonemic awareness, letter recognition and early writing, storytelling and comprehension.
-
Math: Number sense, patterning and sorting, basic geometry and measurement.
-
Science: Inquiry-based exploration, life and physical sciences.
-
Social Studies: Cultural awareness, community and citizenship.
