TODDLER CLASSROOMS
Toddlers are active and curious. As a young toddler, they are beginning to explore the world through movement. Young toddlers express their needs and wants through gestures, babbling, and trying to repeat words they hear. As they continue into their second year, toddlers are moving around more and are more aware of their surroundings. This stage brings greater independence. Older toddlers will recognize the names of familiar people and objects, form simple phrases and sentences, and follow simple instructions and directions.
